Photographic Compositions

Large and small scale together  For this photo I used an apple and a Hershey kiss a and of course, myself. I used the wide lens on my camera to give and even more exaggerated feel to the image, to show the small and large scale.  Exaggerated scale This photo makes me laugh. The Apple is an asteroid that is huge and makes me look small.  Proportion in relation to a human.  Apple is small, I am large. I put my phone on the ground and used the wide lens.  Emphasis by isolation For this image, I used the portrait mode on my phone to black out all the background. I think the black and white makes the image very dramatic. I really like this picture.    Lack of emphasis  This image and the before image are almost the same, however, this one is not completely in focus and it also is a lot flatter than the other image.  Emphasis by contrast  For this photo I angled it with other items on my sisters desk by a window. To create the contract ...

Balance  I would say the illusion design in the middle of the page would fit balance because it is balanced. The 3 points of the triangle are brought into the middle and they are all accentuated with every other line colored and also shaded to add dimension. Scale  I think the triangle inside the triangle and other smaller shapes in the triangle fit this one good. I started by diving the triangle in half. On one half of the triangle there is a large triangle almost filling in the whole outline but not quite. Then on the other half there is smaller triangles and squares. This shows the scale of the triangle to the squares and smaller shapes.  Contrast :I feel that the flame design i made on the left fits into this category. The pattern is close enough that it really makes those blacks and whites pop against each other and if it was repeated more than once on a page would give a major headache.  Pattern I really liked the firework design as a pattern. I think it...

the design process

What problem did you solve when you designed your best set of initials?  What did you communicate? Did you make them feel a certain way? Could your design inspire them to do something? Did you reach a design solution that truly satisfies you? Explain. The problem I solved was that I wanted to change and come up with some new logo designs for myself using my initials. I solved this problem by creating 8 different designs then picking 3 that I liked the best. Then we used adobe capture to create SVG files with our designs where we could erase or make fixes to any imperfections. I feel like I communicated that I create clean artwork with my design. I like the simplicity of one-line designs but it's also professional. Yes, I did, the cursive rh with the horizontal lines and shading gave me the satisfaction I needed.   Sydney Licht has determined was she is attracted to in her thinking and looking process are ‘things that are associated with eating and...

adobe capture initials

I chose these three designs because I have a very diverse array of artwork. Some of it is geometric, which the first design represents. Then some of it is more loose and fun, which the second design represents. Finally some of it is a mixture of all of those things which the last design represents. My logo right now is based on the second design and so far it has done very well for me.
